Why we love the UW - Real stories from UW alumni

I enrolled at the UW as an older student returning back to college after a divorce. The college had quite a diverse age group of students and I found myself feeling supported in my quest to obtain a degree in my 40's. I was very determined to do well and aligned myself with other students motivated to succeed. I made friends on the bus traveling down to the campus, in classes, and found my professors to be interesting people who were approachable and friendly. The UW is a place where anyone can feel comfortable attending school and it is an amazingly beautiful place to be. - Jann, '98
