The UW literally is the mother (Alma Mater) to my several careers. And in that role has served me since I first arrived in 1956. Athletics, academics, friends, mother of my success in all of these she was and is.
Fortunately I have lived nearly all my adult life one mile from her 45th St. entrance. And that too has been enormously reassuring.
