>I received my BA in Sociology in 1981...walked across campus to the UW Medical Center, applied for a job, and started working as a patient services specialist. My husband and I married at the Sylvan Theater in 1983. In 1993 I stayed home with my kids. During that time I missed the beauty of the architecture, the spring cherry blossoms, the excitement of the Ave, and hanging out with friends. Thankfully we had Husky sports! In 2010 I realized I was an empty nester (our son graduated from the UW in June 2010)...and I now work at the UW Medical Center in Radiation Oncology. SOOOO happy to be back.
