Why we love the UW - Real stories from UW alumni

I received my BA degree from the UW; I do not think of the UW in terms of "love". However, there is a since of pride in the wartime actions of the University and its officers on behalf our Japanese-American students when they were forcibly interned by their own government. That action was certainly in the tradition established decades earlier by Judge Meany and the University student corps when they intervened to protect Seattle's Chinese-American community. - Yishai L.
