The campus is unique and beautiful, and so evocative of the coastal Pacific Northwest. A number of the buildings such as Padelford Hall are integrated into their sites in such a way that they take advantage of the natural characteristics of the terrain, while not looking "institutional". I love how the vista looking from Red Square toward Mount Rainer highlights rather than detracts from the natural beauty of the region. I also love how the Ship Canal defines the southern boundary of the campus—providing waterfront access and enjoyment to the university community. - Shirley, LL.M '95
